The Bloomer Legacy: 2.16 The Aftermath

Peter was fast asleep, dreaming about Melody. She looked into his eyes, smiled and shouted: “Petey! Wake up! Wake up! We have big news!”

He sat up on his bed quickly. Melody was gone. Gone forever. Instead, his sister and her dubious boyfriend were in the room.

Erica: “We got married!”

Peter: “You got what? Erica! Dad’s gonna flip!”

Erica tells Ruby next, over breakfast.

Ruby: “Honey, what are you talking about?”

Erica: “Like I said, we got married last night. We said our vows, exchanged the rings and now we are husband and wife.”

Nobody notices that Isaac’s entered the room.

“You what now?”

Without even thinking, Isaac dashes towards Daniel.

Isaac: “You must be really dim! I’ve told you a million times that I don’t want you to have anything to do with Erica! What makes you think I’m going to let you marry her? My little girl?”

Daniel: “I don’t need your permission, it’s done!”

Isaac has no more words left.

Erica faints as soon as the fight starts.

Isaac wins the fight, he is in excellent shape, after all.

Isaac: “I’m going to the station now, and when I get back, you better not be in my sight!”

I feel bad for the criminals today…

Ruby takes the young couple outside.

Ruby: “Ok, you two can’t possibly be here when Isaac gets home. Either he’ll kill Daniel, or he’ll have a heart attack.”

Erica: “But… where should we go?”

Ruby: “Well, I got a fair few simoleons from my freelance programming work. So why don’t you take it and go on a nice honeymoon in Granite Falls?”

Erica can’t believe it: “Mom, seriously??”

Ruby smiles. Her life and death had taught her that sometimes, you can’t change the events around you, and the best you can do is think outside the box.

Ruby: “Consider it a wedding gift.”

Erica goes inside to chat to her brother before leaving.

Peter: “I don’t get it! You get into trouble and mom sends you on an expensive holiday?”

Erica: “Don’t question it Petey!”

Peter: “That’s easy for you to say, you’re going away on a fun trip! Meanwhile, I’ll be stuck here dealing with the aftermath…”

Erica: “No reason why you should be! I know you’ve had a tough time with Melody moving and everything, so… why don’t you come with us?”

Peter: “For your honeymoon? That’s crazy!”

Erica: “Don’t be silly, Petey! We’re going to have such a great time!”
