Update: Where are the Bloomers?

I posted this on the forums but I realise not all of you might be active on there, so here’s a little update on the current situation:

I just wanted to explain the mini hiatus the story has been on and also let you know a bit more about my future plans. Just to preface this, there are many exciting changes on the horizon and the story will continue, though the break will need to last a little bit longer. Thank you so much for your patience and support, it means the world to me!

There are a few reasons why I haven’t updated in a while. Most importantly, I’ve been crazy busy with both work and personal life, so I honestly haven’t had much of a chance to write. Hopefully things should calm down now, and I can’t wait to get some simming and writing done over my Christmas break.

Secondly, I must admit I haven’t been finding this generation all that interesting – the successful lineage goal is a bit of a dud in my opinion, especially given that this generation doesn’t have much of a building task to justify it either. I haven’t been into playing through it all that much, and writing about it would probably be even less thrilling. That’s why, as much as I love Monty and Scarlet, there will be quite a bit of a time jump in the near future…

Basically, there will only be one more chapter this year, and this will also be the only generation 6 chapter. We’ll tie some loose ends and catch up. We will then head on over to Windenburg with the new heir in the new year. I realise this is a pretty unorthodox move, especially considering this is a Build Newcrest legacy – definitely my biggest deviation from the rules as of yet. That being said, I do intend for this move to only be temporary, and we will eventually be returning back to Newcrest to continue with the challenge. But in the interest of keeping this fun for myself, I really need to get Windenburg out of my system.

The last contributing factor of the lack of updates have been a couple of technical issues with my blog, as the images were not displaying properly on Apple mobile devices, so I was reluctant to post anything until I got this sorted. Hopefully everything should be back to normal, but if you do experience any issues with the picture quality, please let me know.
